Programming question

I would like to tinker a bit with my BBSHD. Unfortunately, I don't have a Windows based laptop. Has anyone tried changing the programming with a Chromebook? The only thing I want to change at this point is to make it so level 0 allows full throttle.

If there is such an Android version available then I think you can easily use it on a PC or laptop with the help of BlueStacks emulator.

Check this post " https://edrivenet.com/bafang-programming/ ". he reprogrammed the BBSHD system and explained all the changes he made and how it affects. he even shared the configured files so you can use them too.

That article just reaffirms that he needs a Windows computer.

In turn, BK Xray I'm sure you have friends/family that can work with you for a few minutes with a Windows computer. I have never seen anything that shows you can reprogram the BBHSD controller with any other than Windows. Another thought - if you spent this kind of money on a BBHSD system why wouldn't you spend another $50 on a used laptop so you can tweak your system to your heart's content.

i've tried two different windows computers and cannot get the program to recognize the COM port. is there a special driver i need to install?
using the lunacycle cable.

I haven't tried it, but the EggRider V2 claims you can program the controller using their display and your smartphone.

Go to eggrider.com and watch some youtube videoes to see what I mean. I think Luna Cycle also sells the EggRider display.

You can program a Bafang controller with any Android phone with the original programming cable, the SPEEED Config tool App , and an adapter to go from small USB on phone to full size USB

There is an Android app called "Speeed". (Yes , 3 e's)Easy.
you still need the programming cable , and a OTG adapter for your phone to full size USB. See above response

Yes chromebook, thinkpad, Ideapad.. These are not worth to do programming, Then You should use a third party software or application or buy a windows based laptop. Thank You..
