    Worked for me. Determined I had a bad controller after not even 2 years of light use, but was glad it wasn't something else. Just a bit tricky to get the right multi-strand wire in place to conduct the test. How are you making out?

    About all you can do is take it off the motor and have a look. If its full of water and or corrosion you know what killed it. Slight chance of seeing a broken wire or burnt spot. Either way its unlikely that it would be repairable.

    It would be worth inspecting and cleaning all the electrical connectors. The one I have had issues with is the main connector that plugs into the handlebar harness. It may be since that one usually ends up on the downtube it maybe gets water in it off the front tire?

    I don't recall which pin numbers it is, maybe someone else will remember or link to the info but there are 2 pins you can connect in the harness that should make the motor work without a display. At least that would tell you if the motor and controller is still working.
