    Electrical glitching bbshd troubleshooting

After commuting daily for just over a year, something has finally broken on my bbshd. It's "glitching" in response when I'm pedaling or using the throttle resulting in a jerky ride and even turns itself off after a while.
I discovered that the connector from the battery-holder to the motor was corroded so I replaced and re-soldered it but the problem didn't go away.

So what might be the cause and how would I troubleshoot this further? Could this be a fried controller? Or would it just stop working if it was?

This is just a shot in the dark but... did you try checking the phase wires?

Thank you for your input. That was going to be my next step.
