    Bafang DP C10

Some info on the newest display with a USB port!

The usb port is for phone charging or for even powering a front led light.

The display is automatically back lit...when it gets dark the display comes on.

It shows the watts the motor is buring like the 963...but will also show mph setting where as the 963 only displays in kmph

This is the fanciest display offered by Bafang.

You can find more information in the Luna Store here.

The DP C10 is programmed much like the C965 display. There is no manual for the DP C10 yet. Instead of pushing the + and minus sign you press the info button 4 times to get the programming menu to appear.

Press it twice again to get to the next programming screen and enter code 0512. To program.
Also all others have 0 to 9 the DP C10 has 0 to 5. The DP C10 also has a usb port for accessories charging no of the others do. It also has a button for the backlight.

The big question for me is does this new display make the 963 Obsolete? The 963 costs me more money to buy and is not as good and takes forever to get.

I still like the way the C961 mounts. Kind of a PIA with losing the speedo but I like the mount, even if it is a little fussy. Pictures to come...

I have never liked it except the orientation, but now that I have the C965, I'm staying with that and the C961's for backups. I can't imagine ever being without a backup display. Having a backup can also be helpful in determining if it's a bad controller or display.

I like the new features, but wish the buttons were integrated into the display. It's not like I have to hit the buttons all the time while riding that I need them right next to my hand. With the e-brake wires, throttle and everything there's a lot of wires on the handlebar. I'd been tempted by the 963 just to eliminate the extra button module.

I got the DP C10 display and the USB doesn't work I don't see temperature clock or Lots anywhere. Since there is no user manual I am trying to go by the 965 manual got into the settings and put in password for the C10 and changed wheel size Exedra but it keeps going back to the default. Since the kit came with a 965 as well as the C10 I am going to take the C10 off and put the 965 on and follow the directions for that. Probably send the other one back since the USB doesn't work and I mainly got it for that to charge myself and to plug in a headlight that charges on USB.

yeah for sure i think the less wires the better....i totally agree. I wrote an article a while back about reducing the wiring rats nest on ebikes: https://www.electricbike.com/ebike-wire-ratnest/

Just with that point i may reorder 963s.

I guess after a year of no choice I adapted. What's one more? Not much of a nuisance where it's installed. At least I was never bothered on my 4.

I've heard that BBSxx's speed limit is dictated by the display. Is it correct? What speed limit Bafang DP C10 display have?

may be it something to do with the setting of the throttle it could be set to 80% i have no cable to check with laptop so it set to stander Lunacycle setting

and also change the size of the wheel to 15 inch if you are running a 26 inch wheel the equation is (i.e. 26/1.61 = 16 – 1.61

For effective unlimited speed, change your wheel size to make mp/h show as km/h.
I.e. if you have a 26 inch wheel, set it as 16 inch wheel in the display (i.e. 26/1.61 = 16 – 1.61 is also roughly the same ratio as km to miles, as in 26km is 16miles). After making this change, then 25km/h on the display will in actual fact be 25mph in reality. No BBS unit is capable of 50mph, so it’s effectively now unlimited (or more accurately, speed limited by max current).

Have a look at this article, it'll clear up some misconceptions, just now I'm buried in support email but have a look....the answers are here.... http://electric-fatbike.com/bbs02-displays/
Bottom line, with the latest displays the BBSHD will not be held back by the speed limitation on the display. It display speed on the 965 and DP C10 is higher than the BBSHD will buzz along happily.

I have broken my C965 and just ordered DP C10

I first broke the mount on my C695 and built a custom one with some alloy go pro camera mounts and just bolted the display to them
Now i have a nasty screen bleed

Does the DP C10 unbolt from its mount, i cant tell from the pics on line

I also found the cable from the C965 to the buttons a little short when i mounted the display in the center of my handlebars.
