    Chain jumping

I am installing a BSSHD on a Comotion tandem with Di2 shifting. It has been a challenge from the start. So far have tried the 42 tooth and just tried the Luna Eclipse 48 tooth front chainring. None will hold the chain when I shift to the 40 tooth on the 11 speed rear cassette The front chainring is very close to the chain stay. Do I have have to use the front derailleur again? Any other suggestions?
    Thanks

Chain jumping meaning your chain is jumping over the 11 tooth cog?

I can't imaging a chain jumping a big chain ring
