    Error code 12

About a second or two after powering on the display reads "Error code 12: fault with current sensor inside controller". Does this mean I will have to replace the controller or is there any other possible cause? Thanks.

Thanks, I had seen that but the information is pretty scarce on error 12.

I have the same problem now, after researching it I found it is probably the controller and they say if it is replaced it will fix the problem. I have an extra one so I plan to swap em out and see if it does. I wish it was repairable though!

I did got error 12 after some weird symptoms and new controller fixed the problem.
It seems I did get a shortage in Andersson connector after washing bike with hose, and that broke the controller.
It's easy to swap, even when motor is still installed to bike. Just take your time, don't rush and be careful not to tear cables insulation. Youtube is your friend for howto videos.
          Good luck!
