I haven't built a Cyclone. But with BBSHD supply drying up it might come to that.
So here's my take on this. The new Cyclones use just one chainring. The motor just get's stuck into the chain in the front. The chain runs across the top, and bottom of the chainring.
It looks OK to me, except for hose clamps holding the motor in place. The motor now has nothing to do with the chainline. It stays the same +. White Industries still makes an Ebike ENO freewheel. Probably the toughest thing available. 36, 72POE options +. The ENO has one bearing and is designed for single speed use. This matches that application+. The chain just runs across the top few teeth of the chainring. The Recumbent idler setup I made for the zip tie mod. (Front Freewheel BBSHDconversion). Can push the chain down behind the chain ring for more contact, and it's not coming out +. The chain guide, and the single chainring Cyclone put the ENO in it's straight chainline environment even with derailleurs.
I've been running an ENO FFW setup on my XC bike, with a derailleur, and no chain guide, just a clutch derailleur (Zee M640 SS cage). Tried it with the clutch off, eventually turned it on.
I have a thread on this at MTBR. It's long becuase I was figuring it out as I went along. Just like my long Zip Tie Mod. thread here. The idler is on my BBSHD FFW setup. Both working just fine.

The ENO Freewheel is the same format as the Cyclone part. Sealed, and made out of heat treated gear steel, and all parts available for service. This would be an optional upgrade.
