Dang, that's some good looking work on the torque arms. And I just noticed you're a local! I was planning on building my own Cyclone on a cheapie FS mountain bike but now I'm all insecure 'cause it wouldn't turn out near as well as yours.

If you've ever got some free time I'd love to check out that build. I have a Luna 52V/20Ah triangle pack for my hub drive bike that fits into a backpack and an extension cable I can bring along. I'd be happy to let you thrash on it in exchange for a test ride.

Edit: Do you do any transmission work? I've got my dad's old '78 Yammy SR500E that was stuck in third and stored for almost 20 years. My brother and I fixed it up as a father's day gift for the old man a couple years back after his heart attack. The trans was worked on by some guy I forget the name of, did okay for <1k miles, and is acting up again. Feels like it's trying to jump gears randomly but hasn't yet. I'd like to get it back on the road while he's still around. If you don't do trans work, maybe you could refer me to someone? Thanks either way!

    Yes
The ohio weather and not riding will do that to you
Then you wake up in the spring and look in your garage and your bank account
and say WTF what did I do and then you start riding

I agree with your sentiments about the trike.

At the moment the only battery that we are making at Luna is the battery for the ludicrous. https://lunacycle.com/luna-ludicrous...-50-amp-bbshd/

c20, if you go with that plan you will have 5 times the amp-hours you do now. You should easily hit a hundred.
GW, A John Wayne movie had him as the commander of a cavalry outfit. The soldiers were riding two side-by-side horses at a time, standing up with one foot on the back of each horse. At a full gallop. Called it Roman style.........
Yes to that This is my Roman Style
I am starting to think about building a trike next
Then I could switch the battery pack back and forth from the Gary Fisher to the trike
Then get a 36v25ah pack for the scooter and the hub motor and they will share that

Does any one know if luna makes their own batteries in house
or do they get them from china
I was under the impression that they had their own battery man

I hear what you guys are saying
I really enjoy the relaxed pace my self
A really nice thing in a day and time when everyone is in a huge hurry
I hate that I like the slow pace
we all need to hook up and go riding like in the keys or Hilton head
The cool thing about the ebikes are ounce you have your battery you can put it on different bikes
Hell the most expensive thing on the bike is the battery

I got my bike going in the beginning of June. To my surprise I started hauling it to dedicated bike paths as much as an hour's drive or more away. 15 miles out and then back doesn't cut it. I at least need to extend to 30-40 out and back. A good day would be couple of hours out to some destination, have lunch and a walk or ride around break then a couple of hours back to the truck. So I will need a range of what 60-80? I may as well shoot for 100. There have also been times when I have been in a hurry like avoiding rain. If you start pushing the amp draw past 20 the battery doesn't last very long.

I have been enjoying this bike more than my Nortons from 20-30 years ago. It is all because of the relaxed pace on these bike paths with no CARS trying to kill you every second of the ride. I also plan on incorporating some kind of camper so I can extend the day trips.

Man I don't know anything about the pas I just work the throttle a lot coast as much as I can and use the juice when I need it.
I try to peddle all the time keep my old legs moving
with the ebike math It said 52vX20ah=1040wh Divide that by 20wh burn per mile and I got 52 miles I would think that if you
peddled you could turn that into 75 to 100 miles
I could also be pipe dreaming I don't know but one thing for sure is I am looking forward to finding out
we could start a new thread and call it the 100 mile per charge group
and we could all meet up and have a big party.

When I first started out I used PAS 1 of 5 and got 35 miles on the flat. Now I use 2 of 5, go a little faster and get at least 25 miles. This is on a 11.5 amp slim line.
I see what you mean about bike paths around Daton. There is a path that goes from Cincinnati to Columbus. I use Ridewithgps. It is a great website. Check it out. https://ridewithgps.com/

calfee20 I think the land thing is awesome I would like to live out
but I am also very grateful for the 1 acre that I have
as far as the 100 mil range, are you talking all on juice?
I guess I take it for granted that we live in Dayton home of the Wright bro's
we have bike paths out the yang they cross the state big miles
I would like to be able to use them 12 months out of the year

Actually the 60 acres is 66 and I have a purchase and sales agreement with a local land trust. I was hoping to close at the end of 2016 but they have delayed to June which is the last date in the P&S. There will be no houses and no neighbors. The land will stay open. I have one neighbor about 800' away, another at 1000', and a few at a quarter of a mile or so. That is quite enough for me. My neighbor is talking about the land trust thing now that I am in the process. If he does it we will have 600 acres or so protected down here.

I am keeping 13 acres. When the deal closes I plan on building at least a couple more bikes. One of my goals is to carry enough amps to go 100 miles. I figure two of the 20 amp blocks and the 11.5 slim line that I have now will do the trick. The local bike path abuts my property and the neighboring town just cleared EPA hurtles to extend the path. When they do the next couple of towns may fall in place and we may have some real distance in one path. Hope I live to see it..........now I sound like my mother............aaahhhh!
