Good morning 7 degrees here in The big O
Todays agenda is to mess with the wiring controller and come up with some ideas
This is the throttle that came with the kit
Although it did not work out for me it's parts will work fine
I will find a place to put the key so I have a on/ off switch
The Digital display will probably go with the battery so I can see how much juice in in the can.
All you builders out there live long and prosper

I don't run the pedal assist
But I don't see any reason why you could not make it work with the 3000w
    Cheers Bill.

Yeah, the Deore. Is what is currently on my bbshd'd trek fx. Had been riding bikes with stick shifters forever before this bike and didn't appreciate how sweet the deore are until I test rode a bike with lesser. Thanks for posting the pics.

I don't suppose you are using the offered cadence counting pedal assist. I really enjoy riding with that and am hoping to incorporate it with the cyclone. In a manner that works as smooth as with the bbshd, which is all I could have imagined or asked for in an ebike. Torque sensing, schmorque sensing.

Will ride I am not jumping anything either I wanted this set up for a hopefully smooth ride
it has a Shimano Deore derailleur system The full throttle I got off the ebay $6.00
the one that came with the kit has a key on/off and the shift levers hit and it would not go into gear
The volt read out cant be seen in the sun light
here is some shots so you can see
    you would love this drive
The only thing that I would suggest installing the mounting brackets to the bottom bracket first
then put the motor on get a good hard fit to the bottom bracket then space the motor side to side
so the chain track is straight and true run solid bolts through the motor mounts

Cool build. Thanks for posting it. I want to put the same thing on a curb jumper. Not too many other things to jump around North Central Florida. For commuting the rough sidewalks.

When you say full throtte I assume you mean the Right Full Twist from Luna? And you say you couldn't make the stock half twist throttle fit with the shifter on the right side? And the R.F.T does not interfere with the right hand shifter?

I am concerned with the throttle interfering with the higher end Shimano shifters I want to go with.

This is where we stand at this point
I will put the controller in the frame in a bag
and for now the Luna 52v 20ah battery will go on the back rack

Here is a shot of the full throttle style connectors.
I had to cut the old connector off the throttle that came with Luna kit and solder it to the new throttle
I also had to make a jumper for the on/off wire so it would work in the future it will be hooked up to a switch
but for now getting it to work was the main focus.
I hope that I can get it done before February, If I can I will load it up and drive to some place warm and test it out for a week or so.
For any one considering this kit it is not so bad as far as the install goes
I think it is a great set up so don't let the install run you off.
If any one needs any help feel free to give me a call and I will be glad to share whatever I know
This is what I do every day all day.
In the winter I spend a lot of time working with people doing motorcycle builds
so why should this be any different.
    Cheers

Got the new full throttle in today installed it works great
the one that came with the kit did not do the job the shifters hit it and you could not shift

    First shake Down ride
    30 degrees that sucked
Everything worked as it should shifting good
Even with the 36v battery it hit 20mph quick and climbed a steep hill no problem
with the right battery this thing will be awesome Totally Stoked now
    Cheers Bill.
