This is where we stand at this point
I will put the controller in the frame in a bag
and for now the Luna 52v 20ah battery will go on the back rack

Cool build. Thanks for posting it. I want to put the same thing on a curb jumper. Not too many other things to jump around North Central Florida. For commuting the rough sidewalks.

When you say full throtte I assume you mean the Right Full Twist from Luna? And you say you couldn't make the stock half twist throttle fit with the shifter on the right side? And the R.F.T does not interfere with the right hand shifter?

I am concerned with the throttle interfering with the higher end Shimano shifters I want to go with.

Will ride I am not jumping anything either I wanted this set up for a hopefully smooth ride
it has a Shimano Deore derailleur system The full throttle I got off the ebay $6.00
the one that came with the kit has a key on/off and the shift levers hit and it would not go into gear
The volt read out cant be seen in the sun light
here is some shots so you can see
        you would love this drive
The only thing that I would suggest installing the mounting brackets to the bottom bracket first
then put the motor on get a good hard fit to the bottom bracket then space the motor side to side
so the chain track is straight and true run solid bolts through the motor mounts

Yeah, the Deore. Is what is currently on my bbshd'd trek fx. Had been riding bikes with stick shifters forever before this bike and didn't appreciate how sweet the deore are until I test rode a bike with lesser. Thanks for posting the pics.

I don't suppose you are using the offered cadence counting pedal assist. I really enjoy riding with that and am hoping to incorporate it with the cyclone. In a manner that works as smooth as with the bbshd, which is all I could have imagined or asked for in an ebike. Torque sensing, schmorque sensing.

I don't run the pedal assist
But I don't see any reason why you could not make it work with the 3000w
            Cheers Bill.

Good morning 7 degrees here in The big O
Todays agenda is to mess with the wiring controller and come up with some ideas
This is the throttle that came with the kit
Although it did not work out for me it's parts will work fine
I will find a place to put the key so I have a on/ off switch
The Digital display will probably go with the battery so I can see how much juice in in the can.
All you builders out there live long and prosper

Dude I got this idea from you when I saw your set up it inspired me to stretch it out a little
A few changes but your concept
That is a paper template I have to take it to my cnc guy who makes parts for my motorcycle builds
and have him cut me one out and trim it up a lot more make it pretty
Today I might try to get the molding clay out shove it up in between the arms and make a aluminum wedge
tie them tougher to make a stiffer mount
Dude we are in kahootz on this
Cyclone made in China Made better in USA

Another change in the bracket so I can add a left side torque to Mr. Fisher
It never ends it's a sickness

Mail man showed up with the bag for the controller it turned out great
                              clean package.
                              lucked out with that one
Stoked waiting for Luna cycle to restock the 52v 20ah square battery
last I talked to them they said in about 4 weeks to me it is worth the wait
They seem to be great people to buy from straight up.

Greetings and salutations to all you cyclone 3000w heads
                                Not much new
I set up a meeting with my cnc guy to take a look at my motor mount design
From the pictures that I emailed him he says it's a piece of cake
The next big thing is ok how much is this going to cost me
I've had him make me motorcycle parts before and usually a simple design usually runs $200.00 to $300.00 for the first run
After the initial set up it usually runs about $25.00 bucks a copy to make them. I will press on
The more that I check out the little cyclone 3000w set up the more I like it
It is a very simple design I think it just needs some better parts to go with it, like the Luna crank Ounce I get this thing set up and testing it
I will order that and upgrade the whole crank set up.
But first get the motor hard mounted to the frame so there is no flex
With the torque strap and the 36v 15ah bat it is solid (But) when I get the luna 52v 20ah bat I think it will need more
support to keep it tight in the cradle
This gary fisher has to be able to be used like a motorcycle and hold up and not be breaking all the time
If this whole ebike thing pans out I have another mount design on paper that is a full cradle mount
On a lot of the stupid power race bikes that I work on the engine has it's own cradle that just bolts up to the frame
This kind of mount wont be cheap to cnc but would be the cats meow

When I can get my hands on a new Luna 52v 20ah batt I will put it all on the dyno and see what's up
See what kinda speeds I can get what kind of data I can collect on batt power and power usage
How hot the motor and controller gets under hard conditions
                                I will be great fun
                                Cheers Bill.
