Ok dudes this is the cake in the cake3 this is exactly the size I need for the middle wedge support
I cant make the outer wedge until I get the outer support plate made that will be the next step
That's enough for me for today tomorrow is another day
            Live long and prosper

Well not exactly in this context. I was looking for an expression to replace baited (sp?) breath that might have some kind of context to ebikes (d'oh) - to express my anticipation of the furtherment of your project. (whew)

I am wondering, however, If there is going to be some easily obtainable, reliable, 72 volters coming along. I can almost imagine what this cyclone 3k will do with a powerful, high amper. Until then I will probably be using the 52 volter I have been running with the bbshd - 20 ah. Goes pretty good.

Am hoping to stumble into a decent 29er, used, with a decent shocked front. Finally know somewhat what the components should be like. Now know some of the difference between deore and deore xt. The xt works very well. Crazy how many bike components are out there.

Good morning another day in paradise
I get it now I 'am a little slow on the up take
My wife was in the bike business for a while she worked at a Hi end bike shop for a wile and use to go to the trade shows
she says that it is crazy how the new stuff for bikes updates every year always something better on the horizon
Question what kind of range are you getting with your set up
                thankx for the come back
Not much to do in the shop today waiting now to meet with the cnc guy so he can see what I need and how much it will cost to make it.

I can do 40 miles with some light pedaling. I typically go 21 to 28 between charges because I only charge to 80% - 55v. and only discharge down to no less than 48v. I have read that this should increase battery life significantly (it wasn't cheap). Supposedly without inducing 'memory' into the battery. I used a lot of Lipo's in RC heli's and of course burned them from high to low so this type of battery usage is new to me. But I also love getting the most value and use out of my power stuff rather than high performance (except heli's). I drive all my gas vehicles like a granny. The only thing I push hard are my roller skates, my skis. (And my wo.......:)

                    Greetings
The battery that Luna has says it has the potential of a 100 mile range it is the square 52v 20ah one
I wonder how they figure that
The cnc dude is coming over to the shop today to take a look at what it will take to make my support
                    bracket set up
his off the top of his head price is the first run will be what I thought $300.00 to $400.00 dollars
I don't know If I want to spend that much ,if that's the case I will make them by hand.
scroll saw, ban saw, drill press. chop cut grind old school.

Well now let's see........Take the integral of the voltage drop from 58v to 45v. X avg. amps, times the distance...........mmm, anyway, maybe something like that. I'm not an EE. I suppose if you limit the current to an already low wattage/efficient motor and you help out you could get some pretty good mileage out of one of these packs. I run at a fairly steady 10 amps with spikes to 30 on the hills and acceleratiing and when I goose the throttle to get ahead of some traffic, or get away from a stop if I have not thought ahead enough to gear down. I am always on pedal assist set at 3 and 4 out of the available 9. My setup will do 30 mph no problemo on pure throttle. It is too scary. I stay at 23 max. (pedaliing)

Man I don't know the e math either but I guess I will find out
I don't like going over 20mph and I peddle so it will be seen how many miles I will get
                        thanlx for the come back
I am waiting for the cnc man to get here now and he can give me the news on the parts that I want to strengthen the motor mounts

Ok I looked up how to do the math on the distance
52vx20ah =1042 what hours Divide that by 20 for the formula of 20wh per mile =52 miles
I am assuming that is with out peddling on level ground
Like I said we shall see the proof is in the pudding

                            Greetings : new day
I met with the cnc guy last night and he did not want to do the triangle wedge spacer for the mm support he wanted to use
a oval 3 piece set up he said that it would be cheaper to make and he thought it would be just as strong
so it looks like I will fabricate my own along with the outer support plate.
and I thought as long as I was getting crazy on this thing may be I should just build my own Battery Jerry Lee thinks this would be cool
this is my concept does any of you guru's know where I can buy batteries nickel strips and bms boards and so on
Thankx in advance for any and all help.
                            Bill.

If you are going to build your own pack you might want to pewt it inside the frame for protection, since you can custom fit it. It would also be much easier to mount it securely. There are a lot of posts of guys doing it so you should be able to find a source for the cells, etc. From the stuff I did with Lipo's I can suggest you have your soldering skills in top notch shape. And be very, very judicious in your safety procedures
                            I like your dog..

Thankx about the dog we lost our old German shepherd about 6 months ago he was 13 years old and now Jerry Lee is our new boy he is 14 weeks old
as far as the battery goes there is no room inside my frame the only place I can see is back rack and as Rix Ryde said that sucks so I am not crazy about that
hi CG and under the motor or like the picture would give it a great CG
O well I guess I will figure something out I've got all winter
