Anyone making lower power (250 w) front hub kits?

After 10 BBSXX builds, I turned to front hub kits for my wife and daughter. I really like front hub now. Installation is easy, engagement is smooth and ride feels good.

My issues is living in flat Florida, 500 watts is too much power. It is difficult to maintain a reasonable speed under 20 mph with any pedal resistance/rider contribution, even on PAS 1.

Is anyone building lower power front hub kits, say 250 W? I am aware of Swytch, but they seem to always be in the start-up phase, with a system of pre-order and wait for the production run.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey James, I had great success using this kit. https://dillengerelectricbikes.com/p...ung-powered-v2 I used it in a dual motor setup to help a BBSHD when hauling heavy loads uphill. Dead simple kit, easy to install, no issues, and still going strong after 4+ years.

Here is a guy selling a bunch of 250/350 front motors really cheap. This guy is mostly into reusing batteries for various E projects but sometimes has stuff like these wheels because the same people he gets batteries from often also have things like these wheels. Sometimes they are used but often times were part of or spares for a rental fleet that never got used so just scuffed up from being moved. You still have to source the rest of the bits but as long as its not your first build may be a fun project and give you a chance to get it done pretty cheap.
