Universal Torque Arm Is TOO Weak!

After watching the video on how to install this beast, I thought I had everything under control. But the torque arm moved so the axle twisted out of the dropout. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and if there is a beefier version out there. Oddly it came out while under regenerative braking. Maybe it loosened under applied power then popped during the slow down, but I am only guessing. I am glad I wasn't too far from home! Thanks, Mike

You need to tighten the axle nuts a few times with initial use. Otherwise the motor torque and the reverse regen torque, back and forth, will work it loose. I was quite surprised how mine loosened up. But after a couple tightenings, it was good.

The torque arm isn't weak, the cut out is to large for the MagicPie axels if you used the universal
. Get the right fit and you'll be golden. Or request the Amped Cycles Torque arm as a replacement.
