Golden Motor Magic Pie V feewheeling resistance

I have this kit on order from Luna. But just wondering how good this newest model is with reduced freewheeling resistance when just using pedal power. I understand that mid drive motors have less resistance (none?), but how significant is it with the Magic Pie V?

From revelers i heard. That Magic pie 4 and 5 is the same. The only difference is controller. So all mechanic parts, are the same.

You can fell resistance from my MP5. Hard to say how much, never bothered to do a before/after coast test.

There is resistance but it's so slight in my experience that once I got so used to it I don't notice it at all. The motor does whir as I pedal along which reminds me I have a 12 pound motor bolted to my back but if not for that I'd think I am riding a normal trike.

I agree, all reports from customers and the ones I installed the drag was very low.

Yes, it is very slight. You can notice it on a flat coast, but not when pedaling. I also have a SP5 and it is even less than than the MP5.

Well compared to a chrystalyte 23 lb motor , one of the older 5300 series I believe, It feels like none. I have the chystalye on a 29 inch mountain bike and dread having it die far from home and have to pedal. But can't seem to kill it after 10 yrs.
