Luna Fusion pack charging adaptor use.

Luna Fusion pack charging adaptor use.

Congrats on getting the best USA made battery. There are some things you should know first.

The Fusion packs have a new Rosenburger charging plug built in the case, German made Rosenberger connectors are the absolute best ebike charge connector ever.

These connectors make a fast and automatic connection, impossible to reverse the polarity and they are sealed.

    However we have 2 versions:

    The RoPD magnetic:

This one is magnetic, comes with a magnetic cap too (don't loose it) the pin terminals are recessed and spring loaded.

This plug can be disconnected under load incase you knock it down but it's not made to be connected and disconnected under load all the time.

    Procedure to charge:
    1. Plug the magnetic adaptor to the battery (do not connect the charger yet
    2. Select the % and amperage on the charger
    3. Plug the charger in the wall AC outlet
    4. Close the circuit but connecting the XT60 yellow connector from the charger to the XT60 end of the RoPD adapter.
Once the green led is "ON" that means that there is no current flowing you can unplug charger with the magnetic RoPD connector.
Do not unplug the mag connector if the charger is not done charging, unplug from the XT60 if needed.

    The MagCode Pro

Now this one is not holding in place with a magnet like the RoPD version, it's a twist-lock mechanism with a built-in magnet operated contactor.
Once you lock it in you can hear a click, that the is magnet pulling the contact. if you dont hear a click it's not put in the right way and will not charge.

Video Showing the twist-lock and clicking noise.

This type comes with a cap to cover the female port on the bike, but you dont absolutely need it as the female part (battery end) is short circuit proof. This means that you can physically short out the 2 terminals and nothing will happen. it's only live when the male part is there.

Watch this next video on how it works:

This plug can be disconnected under load incase you knock it down but it's not made to be connected and disconnected under load all the time. The contactor in it is to make the battery safer when contact are exposed.

    Procedure to charge:
    1. Plug the MagCode adaptor to the battery (do not connect the charger yet)
    2. Select the % and amperage on the charger
    3. Plug the charger in the wall AC outlet
    4. Close the circuit but connecting the XT60 yellow connector from the charger to the XT60 end of the MagCode adapter.
Once the green led is "ON" that means that there is no current flowing you can unplug charger with the MagCode connector.
Do not unplug the MagCode connector if the charger is not done charging, unplug from the XT60.
