I currently have a 48 volt 10ah stock LiMn battery(pedego). testing the volts it charges to 58.75 volts. Why does my current battery go well beyond 48 volts , is pedego peak charging them for more power. Question 1 is how low can I run down the voltage and not shorten the battery life too much . Question 2 when I purchase a new battery Will a 52 volt luna battery charge higher than 52 volts a 48 v luna higher than 48 ,

ok pedego claims its 48 volt 10 ah battery, but right on the charger (from them ) it states charging voltage 58.8volts at 2 amps per hour , my watt meter on both batteries I own confirms this. want to purchase another battery that costs less they want 900 , with more amp hours (luna triangle do I go with 24volt or 52volt x 24ah , and do the 52 volt batterys max out at 52 volts charge?

A 52V battery is 52 volts 'nominal'. Since a typical cell that Luna uses is 4.2V fully charged, a 52V pack that has 14 cells in series could fully charge to 58.8V. However you don't normally want 100% charge. Here, this article explains it better than I could, https://www.electricbike.com/52v-battery-3077-fet/
