    52-WOLF-30Q-12-BLK - I bought this almost exactly 4 months ago for $300 and it went kaput today . I see that the exact same battery is no longer available on the luna cycle and I'm not sure I want to buy another battery that goes to 0 V after only 240 cycles.

    I rarely charged it to the unrecommended 100 percent which is about 54 volts, but I did twice this week, and lo and behold ...

    comparable 52 volt 12 amp hour batteries on luna cycle are way more expensive today. Seeking advice on a good replacement.

      The V2 30Q Wolf has never costed $300, and 100% is not 54V. Given that you don't seem like you know what you are talking about you might want to email support, maybe there is something that can be done to help you.

        Whoa bro, why so rude? Technically that's correct. When I bought the Luna folding a bike the upgrade option to this battery was an extra $300. my bill doesn't list what the total cost of that battery was so thanks for that.

        also since I have poor eyesight I double checked what I typed and you're right it's closer to 56 V at 100%. I'm used to seeing 54 V because I almost always charge to 90%.

        Not sure what the logic in only helping people who already know everything is. I came here for advice.

          Sorry if I came off that way. This is the official documentation thread for this product and I can't have incorrect info regarding voltage or price on it, nor comments like how you want to buy something else. Like I said I would contact support. The battery is not actually at zero, the BMS is tripped. Support can help find out why, maybe even fix it, and if not propose a reasonable resolution.

            Indeed, I checked again today and it was at 46V so it must have been a thermal trip. Changed to 54 V now. Thanks.

              Posting for a friend, After a crash, the wolfpack cuts out instantly under load. We tested the bike with another battery.. all good, so the issue is def somewhere in the wolfpack battery unit. Now, can anyone suggest how we open the wolfpack? (obviously we know the case will be damaged by opening) We want to gain access to the bms so we can check / test it.

                An advantage to the wolf packs is the hard potting material but that can be a disadvantage when it comes to any sort of repair.

                Is this a V1 (with leads) or the V2 (with the recessed connectors)? I would be looking around the connectors for damage that is causing a bad connection. Even there it could be difficult to try and repair. BMS is in the bump in the top. The potting seems to stick real good to the case so I don't think there is any peeling it off.

              Thanks, we gingerly went to town on the case with a Dremel.. Well, actually not we.. My friend did.. We left the immediate area.

                Well for starters I would check what 73eldo was saying. Visually inspect the connector, look for any signs of a melted resistor on the xt90-s, and if it is a newer model with backup xt connectors, firmly plug into the backup.

                It sounds like enough power is getting through to turn it on but not operate it. That's more like a high resistance connection. Which could be something as simple as not being fully plugged in or the resistor partially burnt up from not being fully plugged in, as discussed here https://youtu.be/7PwdlPOl1zg

                If there was a problem with the bms, you should use a multimeter, take a voltage reading on both the discharge connector and the charge connector and compare these two numbers. If they are significantly different then yeah probably something bms related. Could be wrong I suppose, but these are just basic stuff to check.
