Shark retrofit bullet connector assembly guide

Note: while this may be modified for use with other hardcase styles it was designed as a drop-in replacement for the connector module on 4-pin shark packs.
Usage on other packs (including the revised shark pack with 5 pins) would be difficult.

While shark contacts can be maintained almost indefinitely if following the recommended guidelines (check and adjust them occasionally, reinforce pack to frame) there are circumstances where they may need replaced. If you have this version of shark you can replace them with this connector, which fits into place. The original wires are then soldered to the cups on each bullet.

Below is an exploded view of how the connector fits together and a pic of how it comes in the bag

The female side goes together as seen below. The two female bullets slide into the notched portion, then the matching notched portion is slid over top.

Then the backplate is added to this piece and the included screw is screwed in. Take care not to overtighten the screw.

That is it, now just slide the modules in place and solder the wires. There are 3 pairs of smaller gold connectors included but these are not needed with any Luna shark packs, they are intended for optional communication wiring between battery and controller. On the offchance you are modding a factory built ebike that uses this connection they are included but otherwise they can be discarded.

Hi Paxtana - is this available via Luna? I struck out doing a search.

Great - thanks. I can wait. One of my shark packs made the "snap, crackle, pop - help me" sound during my last ride. I cleaned up the contacts and doubled up the velcro straps. But I've heard this warning before, and I don't like it, so ...

In order to install this u have to remove the case of the original shark battery with 4 pin? Then once the battery case has the 4 pin you can connect directly to the motor without the 4 pin base ?

You would have to open it, remove the original module, and replace it with this one. It will only work if you have that kind of case and would only be recommended for skilled modders. The other side goes into the cradle. Both sides have to be replaced and soldered.
