    [QUOTE=steelersmb;n117189]

    Two questions:
    1. I installed this meter a couple of weeks ago and the time always resets when I turn it off. I don't take out the battery or turn it off on the bike but everytime I turn the bike on, the time is wrong again.

I had a 860C start to loose time after 4 months of running just fine
It would loose almost 24 hours after 7 days

Maybe you have the same issue?

Guys, does anyone know what's the max torque to tighten motor mounting bolts on X-1? I suspect my x-1 is creaking when I pedal under power because these bolts are too loose.

I'm getting the same thing. I've contacted Luna for months on this and they continue to say they will not cover this under warranty. I have a large frame and a medium frame. The Large Frame DOES NOT CREAK. The medium frame sounds like it's going to fall apart. Luna has already reimbursed me to take it to a shop to have them professionally lube all pivot points. This DID NOT HELP one bit.

I'm EXTREMELY frustrated at this point. It literally sounds like the bike is going to shatter as I'm riding it. If this is the type of quality Luna provides, I will never buy another Luna product again.

          I have had this problem...
1- take off skid plate and cover around edge of motor..
2- take off the crank arms and the outer ring of the spider
3- tighten the 3 bolts that mount motor to frame

Once I did this noise was gone. Hope this helps

          I'll try that. Thank you!

If the bolts are too lose tighten them
You don't need a specific torque figure to be able to tighten bolts

I know only too well this creaking problem. Here is the list of things I've already got apart cleaned, lubricated and tighten to the proper torque
1 All pivot points of suspension.
          2 Both wheels axels.
          3 Chainring bolts/nuts.
          4 Headset
5 Seat post (carbon supergroup assembly compound)
6 Handlebar and everything attached to it, secured all cables with tape.
          7 Crankset and pedals.
          8 brake caliper attachment bolts
9 brake disks bolts(I also bleeded brakes)
10 spoke nipples and where spokes cross each other

There are only few parts that are left to do:
          1 Chainstay pivot
2 motor mount bolts plus plastic pieces around it.
          3 cassette

Initially I had more creaking. I suspect it was coming from different places. Now I only have very consistant creaking when right and left pedals are pushed down while riding on PAS 2,3,4,5.

Someone suggested that it could be battery creaking in a tight battery compartment.
I am getting frustrated more and more with these creaking.

If you're going all the way this route might as well throw some carbon paste under the motor where it slots into the frame. I regret not doing that when I had my motor out.

I want to check the spoke tension on my Alex Rims but haven't had any luck finding the specs. I checked the Alex website to no avail. Does anyone have the tension specs for those particular rims?

Does anyone know the size of the crank arm bolts? The ones that go on that compress the crank arms not the ones that tighten them.

I read somewhere on here that the latest shipment is coming with a 38t sprocket instead of 32T. Is this accurate?

The X-1 I received a few months ago arrived with 38T front chainring. I'd already bought a 38T ring and a longer chain from eBay/Amazon but was pleased not to have to install them.

Also different on the new (Large) X-1 vs my year-old (Medium): no problems with dropper post slippage, no loose bolts or other fittings (I still went through it and added Loctite in some spots). AND the new bike has the firmware/software PAS issue.

I need to ask Luna to fix it. Once I get back home.

Does anyone know where I can find the full geometry of the Luna X1 frame set in Large?

Looks like there is a new E10 frame that uses the M600 motor
                Available in 29 or 27.5

The X1 uses the M09 DengFu frame

Geometry - The image on the Luna webpage is about the most complete I have found. Geography...guess you might have to start asking people where they are from? :)

I also posted this chart on page 38 - along with some calculations about how the stock fork that comes on the bike changes things.

I'm considering picking up an advanced charger to improve the lifetime of my X-1 battery (I'd like to be able to charge it to 80%). Would this one work?

Is this the connector I will need?

I use these devices on my dumb chargers
You can set the low and high cutoff voltages

I set mine to not do full charges on every charge

A simple voltage cutoff won’t work the same as the advanced charger, because the advanced charger doesn’t simply turn off at a specific voltage. It holds the configured voltage constant and allows the battery to top off at that voltage level at a slowly tapering current. The charger won’t turn off until the low current cutoff is hit.

Anyone get the Bafang BESST service tool for the X1 and try the different firmwares yet? I am curious if it's worth the $100 https://lunacycle.com/bafang-besst-service-tool/ says you can't customize but comes with 3 different firmwares.
