    As craigtx said, 18mm. But you can't get a socket over one of the rear nuts as a cable is sticking out of it. I had to use a 18mm open spanner to take the wheel off (to put on tires with actual treads).

    It does not come with folding pedals so I do not believe those measurements would be including folding pedals. Yes handlebars contribute to width. Likely if they are turned slightly it would be somewhat less, and you can loosen headset to turn it completely sideways if desired, the various folding stems mentioned in this thread would also help

    18mm is what I discovered. the front wheel nut is 15mm

    550 miles. aside from tightening the brakes I've had no issues.

    Are your folded dimensions of 45x35x22" with folded pedals? Does the width of the handlebar contribute to the 22" width?

    It's not like you Eclipse bike owners need another stem to think about, but what the hell ...

    The Satori HEADSUP-ET stem extender turns 90 degrees whatever direction you want, and if you unscrew the top cap completely lets you pull the bars and stem off completely. It's not a stem in itself per se - instead it allows you to use any stock stem you like:


    Dunno how much slack the brake cables have on the Eclipse - always a consideration when altering the bar position.

    Thanks for your order Mike. The manual is effectively the first page on this thread, which is updated regularly.
    Cloud9 is always a good upgrade for an ebike, nice choice

    It does not need to be very tight since only pedal power is going through the belt.
    I would have to get back to you on the axle. I suspect it is fine but if you have concerns please email a pic to support@lunacycle.com along with the question so we can check it against other bikes.

    Good questions. I wondered about the mirror and look forward to seeing pictures. Pax, the admin may need a direct message to get his attention. He’s very responsive but not sure he has time for all messages. I don’t like the,PAS but find pas 3 works good enough, especially when the battery is 70-40%. Less than 40 and it’s hard and when it’s full I clown pedal. It is a fun bike but will stay tuned for the belt questions. I have heard that Gates has a tool and app to measure tension. I have a bike store that will wrench mine fortunately.

    Hello fellow eclipse riders!

    I have had my Luna Eclipse for about 6 weeks now and I just hit 310 miles yesterday. I absolutely love this bike! It did not come with any type of owners manual though, and, admittedly, this was a little disappointing. In the time I have owned this I have however learned a lot about this bike, which brings up some questions, and gives me a few things to share. I am an experienced bicycle/ motorcycle/ ATV/ snowmobile rider and I wrench on my own stuff for the most part, but this is my first e-bike. So, I think some bullet points are in order!

    - I have read a lot of different comments in regards to the pedal assist- I personally like the way it is set up. If you try riding the bike in PAS4 or PAS5 in and out of traffic, or on a BMX track, where your speed is varying a lot, between slow corners and fast acceleration, you will feel how your pedaling and the electric boost pull you right out of the hole fast!! The first time I rode the bike aggressively it all made sense to me!

    - The stock saddle is horrible, but I am sure it was done to save costs and allow the owner to find a saddle that suits them well, I put on a Cloud 9, which made a huge difference!

    - I relocated my display to the lower bar, centered over the stem- it looks much better IMO, and made it easier to clean up the wire mess on the bars. I added a bar pad on top to conceal some of the wires- I will post some pics for you guys when I get a chance.

    - The folding pedals are "ok", but felt small. I added a set of Odyssey "twisted" model BMX pedals, it feels nice having a larger surface area for your feet.

    - I added a bar end mirror on the left. I modified a "Mirrycle" brand mirror and was able to find a long screw with the correct threads to thread into the factory bar insert. If you remove the allen screw in the bar end the grip will come right off. You will see a permanent insert inside the bar. The next time I take it apart I will post some pics as well.

    - I noticed when I got the bike it only has (1) rear axle adjuster, on the right side. The left side appears to be machined for one, but mine was not there- is is supposed to have (2)? The one on the right side doesn't appear to fit very well either- the bike has a machined groove, the adjuster is flat, and therefore it sits crooked- is this correct?? What happened here? Also, my belt was VERY tight when I got it, and seems to have loosened some now- is there a belt tensioning procedure? How tight does it need to be? Is there a spec for belt deflection?

    So I got the folding stem mentioned on this thread, but the bike still won't fit in my tiny Tesla M3 trunk... (it's the trunk's fault for being so ridiculously small)

    Because the bike with the handlebars attached just won't fit in my car. Will post an update once I receive it and give it a try.

    350km over here. Because it fits in my daily driver, I'm using this bike more than my other ones now.

    Hello everyone!
    Just joined the Eclipse team a couple weeks ago. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all the great questions, and then to all with great answers or insight. All of you really helped me decide on picking this bike up. Like others have stated, the PAS levels definitely need some work, more options via the display, and possibly having the ability to derestrict the top speed should be an option...I understand the legal/warranty aspects with that though. Overall I love the Eclipse and again, thanks to everyone for all the great information!
