First day with my Eclipse and the kickstand broke the second time I put it down! It appears it is made out of a pot metal substance. I have entered a support ticket and will let you all know what comes of it. Also, pretty disappointed this isn't a 1000W motor, but rather a 500W. Why is this nowhere in the sales pitch that mentions this?????

I have the same issue. This motor is a 500w nominal motor from Bafang. I have a 750w on a bike using the same frame, same battery size, but with rack and bags for more weight. It outpowers the Eclipse on top speed and torque from a stop and climbing.
It has the battery, controller, and motor MAX output potential of 1000w at full charge for short bursts of torque.Last edited by MicahThomps1; 06-08-2022, 05:24 PM.

Yeah I had a BH bike a few years ago with a 750W motor and the take off power and climbing torque were much better. Didn't have fat tires though so I'm sure more rolling resistance.

Same, first day i got it. The part is faulty and needs to be redone.

The question has been can it climb? Yes. I just used PAS4 to fly up a Florida elevated bridge. It pretty steep. I was pumping and flew up at,18 mph. No really problem. Most people walk up this one. Liking this bike.Last edited by Neverlost99; 05-23-2022, 11:43 AM.

Site says it is putting out 1000w of power at the hub, which it is. The motor itself does not decide the wattage; that is a function of the battery voltage times the current pulled by the controller.
21A x ~48V is 1008w, and if the battery is fully charged to 54.6 that's 21 x 54.6 = 1146.6W.
The arbitrary stamp on the bafang hub is just as meaningless as the 750w stamp on bafang BBSHD motors despite actual output on BBSHD being well known as delivering more than double that.Last edited by paxtana; 05-25-2022, 01:20 PM.

Yes this is possible. A likely candidate would be this one: https://flatbike.com/product/thinstem/
Rear rack?
This would work https://www.bikebling.com/Blackburn-...6-7044592.htm?
Aftermarket throttles for this bike?
This would work with all throttles sold at Luna built for BBSHD and BBS02 kits (which is most of them). If unsure check the connector, compatible bbsxx throttles have a yellow three pin HIGO connector
Fender suggestions?
Try this (unconfirmed for now) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003694279493.html?

Good point. I picked that one as a suggestion mainly because it has a 4 bolt design and as such should be more securely mounted than many other seatpost mounted types. I suppose we will have to wait for somebody to try it out to confirm, but worst case scenario if it doesn't fit you should be able to just replace the stock bolts it comes with by bolts 5 to 10 mm longer. Should be able to get that kind of bolt anywhere like if you take one to your local hardware store or visit boltdepot.com if need be.

And, do you think I could put on/fit 20" x 4.5" tires? (4.5 is larger than the 4s it comes with).Last edited by looooooooooooonacycl; 05-28-2022, 05:06 AM.

Do you think buying bolts with levers like this could tighten a stem sufficiently?
Clamping levers with eccentrical cam GN 927 are used for rapid clamping and releasing. Hereby, contrary to a clamping operation via a thread, these levers pe...
The rotating stems on the market seem decent, but in order to fit the bike with the BMX handlebars in back of my SUV I need to 1) rotate stem 90 degrees and 2) fold the handlebars down so that they are in between (or at least, closer to) the folded frame.
So if there was a way to do that adjustment a bit more easily without stripping the bolt heads over time, that would be ideal.1 Photo

Ideally a quick release would help. I am almost thinking a car rack at this point. It’s a big bike!

Am I tripping balls thinking that something /like/ these (say two of them) on the handlebar stem might do the job? https://www.amazon.com/Jugger-Releas...165184&sr=8-17

Something similar might work as long as the threading spec is the same. The difficult part is knowing if the cam levers can put down enough force (nM) or if they will be able to lock in-place without unspinning themselves slowly.
I ended up installing this stem, which uses M5 bolts to clamp down the handlebars:
MSRP from 109,95€ · 1 ⅛" A-Head stem · Aluminium 3D forged, black anodized · Tool-free twist function ±90° within seconds · With quick-release lever and control knob · With SDS front cap for SDS links / adapter · Required fork shaft protrusion approx. 55 mm
I will be testing out these bolts on that stem today:
Might require a searching for some tiny nuts or washers so that the bolts can properly apply pressure to the machined bolt head fitting on the stem.Last edited by obscureyetrevealing; 06-15-2022, 11:00 AM.

I want to put some pegs on the back of this bike.
I found some pegs that state: "PRODUCT SIZE: The size of the bike stunt peg is about 100 x 26 mm/3.9 x 1 inch, Fit 3/8 inch axles. Suit for universal Bike, road bike, mountain bikes, track bike, MTB, BMX, etc. Please make sure the size before placing the order."
Would those fit on the rear of the Eclipse? Thanks!
