Hallo, does anyone know what measures luna has carried out on his " silent version" for a surcharge of $ 200 ?

$100 for the custom gear (seems reasonable)
$100 labor to replace gear (seems reasonable, if they have to pull the motor off the bike, remove spider, open, change gear, inspect, put back on bike, etc.)
Obviously would be nice if Bafang would just use the quiet gear to begin with but probably not gonna happen.
Now all we need is better tuning of torque sensing, shorter cranks, and the ability to program (at least) settings like speed limit for pas and throttle to make it legal on demand. If we're dreaming how about a phone app?

You can watch the video here on the new PEEK M600 gear.
It is quite a bit more quiet than the new metal gear
I have about 700 miles on my X1 and it is not that noisy as it was new
Luna video
Older M600 partial teardown video
looking at the video above, it looks like the gear is part of a metal assembly
I am thinking it is pressed into that assembly?

Does it require a special tool?
Some BB socket tools may be too thick
Here's a couple photo's showing a comparison of two tools and the gap on the X1 BB

I ordered a tool and will know on Monday if it has enough depth
The outer spindle face to ring face is 25mm + maybe about 2-3mm more to sink down into the groove
Here's a pic of my X1 spindle

Looks like they sold out very recently so it is a moot point, but I was referring to the socket I linked from the first post on this thread, there is a section on how to remove it which links to the product. We also have a bunch of these same ones on the way from Bafang, not sure the lead time though

I saw this same issue posted on FB
The lock bolt is sloppy on some locks or the lock has come loose
Both of these issues would let the battery droop down
The lock is secured by two phillips head screws
Here's some pics of what the top lock plate looks like inside the battery channel on the X1

Not seeing a tool link?
My new gear is on the way, so I am looking for a tool now
I saw one on Ebay, but it ships from China

I found one and ordered it
Bike hand also makes a socket only version and they are cheap on Ali Express.
Here's the link for the socket only versions - YC-29BB

Tracking says the one I got from BikeSmiths is scheduled to be delivered here Saturday
I also ordered the socket only version on Ali Express
Not sure if it will ship any time soon because of the corona virus situation

Does anyone else have an issue with the fork/stem/headset creaking even though stem is torqued down tight and the star nut is straight? I can't seem to get mine to be noise free when I'm riding it hard. I'm thinking the headset might need to be upgraded?

Yeah I just straightened it out a lot better than it was from factory and I tightened the stem down pretty tight and it still creaks a little. Bugs me, should be solid. I may try a new headset. Hopefully the steer tube faces are parallel with each other. I had that steer tube problem with an old Santa Cruz Tazmon that I had and had to re-surface them.

The only noise I have is the cables bouncing around inside the hollow down tube area
