Sure you can wire in a watt meter as shown elsewhere in this thread and linked from the top post.

Yes, but since this is the only X1 i've ridden, i have no way to compare. Are there any other indicators?

Sounds like a possibility, though I suppose it is possible they just forgot to black it out. Either way you should be able to tell if it has ludicrous I would think, since it would feel quite a bit more powerful than the stock power level

Does this mean that if not blacked out it DOES NOT have the ludicrous controller? My bike was delivered in Dec, the box was checked for ludicrous, but the B is not blacked out. thx.

Thanks. Do you know what the OEM post length is?

Yes. I'm running the OneUp 180mm post on mine. I do have issues with clamping force though. I may just need to clean it an regrease it with carbon grease that I have as it did not do it originally.

Can the x-1 medium frame accommodate a longer dropper post than the stock one?

The cells aren't all equal so they will charge and discharge a little differently and without "balancing" the ones that have a little less capacity will end up getting over charged and/or over discharged compared to the rest. BMS's will "balance" them when charging to ensure they have the same voltage across them but this only happens near the end of the charge cycle. Regardless, charging fully will balance them at that point and most folks would say if you are only charging to 80% but balance very half dozen cycles or so that's good enough... But it's not etched in stone tablets from the mount and it also depends on the BMS...

Can anyone expand on this a little bit? I've been charging my X-1 battery to 80% to prolong its life - most rides I take it on are relatively short. Is there some sort of schedule for how often this "cell balancing" needs to take place?

Someone please do this, and repost Mike's pics for the rest of us because I'm hugely curious. I assume this is the battery?

The Luna no drill battery mounts sold on the website provide a set of standard m5 water bottle bosses anywhere that you can put hose clamps. Might be worth looking into

Guys, have anyone found a good way to attach a water bottle on an X-1 frame? I couldn't find a good and secure way to attach a bottle holder anywhere on x-1 frame. I carry water in my back pocket and really don't like it.

If twist (I don't care for thumb personally) maybe just a neoprene tube you can slide over it and then voila! no throttle... but then again even though I pedal 100% of the time I still want it for that fine and fast control... yesterday did a nice ride and the screw securing the throttle got loose and I couldn't use it... was a very bizarre sensation...

I want to keep the throttle, but does anyone know if I can mod it to be temporarily disabled? Reason: Some bike parks don't allow throttles, but I want to disable it (with a switch or something). Another eBike I own has a on/off switch.

Sorry to cross-post but I'm new here and didn't know where to post this question. Just pre-ordered my X1 today. Thank you.
I removed the throttle from my X1
I never used it and it's really not needed, IMO

Any park that doesn’t allow throttles won’t normally care if it has an on/off switch. If there’s a throttle attached to the bike, it’s prohibited. The best way to avoid trouble is to either temporarily remove the throttle while you’re headed to the park (there’s a simple connector you can unplug), or to change to a twist throttle. Most of the time, they’re looking for thumb throttles, so twist throttles can fly under the radar. Just be sure not to use it so no one reports you.
Working...
