    Dead charging port???

Last week I bought a second hand e bike .
It has a Reention Dorado battery.
It didn't come with a charger so I asked a friend to borrow one.It had the right parameters so I though that it could work.I changed the plug
I charged it successfully for two times but now the charger doesn't work anymore.
I have to mention that when I inserted the plug into the battery it showed the battery voltage without the charger being plugged in .
Now I have 0 on the charging plug but the bike has still 50 percent charge.
Please help me I am desperate
I also have to say that the bike had been ridden for only 100km.

Some battery/charger combinations require the charger to be plugged into a wall outlet and turned on prior to being plugged it into the battery. I burned out one charger not doing it in this order.

I got that but could the charger burn the battery BMS or the charging port?
In the past I could read voltage on the charging port without the charger being plugged in but now it's dead.

I ordered a new charger and changed a fuse on the battery.
    Now it's working perfectly
