52V luna mini charger - can i charge 2 batteries at once?

Has anyone split the output of the charger and plugged in 2 batteries of the same voltage / capacity to charge them at the same time? I assume they will charge half as slowly and the individual BMS will disconnect that battery once it is finished. Just checking if its a good idea / permittable / anyone else has done it.
    Thanks!

You can do 2 at once- if you have 2 chargers. I think the charger protects the input and the bms protects the output.

If the packs are already parallel wired, sure. But don't connect 2 separate batteries.
Fabrication is fun! Build something today. Show someone. Let them help. Inspire and share. Spread the desire.

Not to be nit picky (well I guess I am =] ) technically speaking two batteries wired together is actually one battery.

I think we're all saying the same thing really... If you have two batteries that have been paralleled from the get go (so it's now one battery) it should be treated as one battery and charged together if not then they should not be wired together and always charged separately...

        Yep, exactly!

I don't know if I would recommend this anyways. I wouldn't consider it a safe charging practice.

I think you are referencing my above?

If so: it's better to leave a paralleled pack set connected, so they are always at equal voltage, rather than separate them to charge, thus allowing them to drift apart, IMO.

This is what I do. I have a pair of identical batteries that are of the same age and cell type. They are connected together in parallel. They discharge together and are charged together thru one of the two charging inputs. Each has its own BMS. A couple of 30Q Mini Cubes.

Connecting two batteries together (you have to do this to connect them both to the same charger) that have been run separately is a very bad idea.... think sparks and BMS or fuse overcurrent minimally and fire worst case...
