I believe for some reason it got taken down / removed from luna's site but going back with the waybackmachine I found the link which seems to still back active, I've put it in the waybackmachine as well just incase it gets taken down: https://lunacycle.com/content/Update...l-v3.01.22.apk

Hey xcnick, great to see you back. I acquired a V2 controller a couple months back and built an new bike around it. Amazing piece of equipment. Here's the user manual for the V2. The Luna Vesc for android link is on page 4. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sFW...ew?usp=sharing. Here's a pic of the bike. Hope to do a full write up soon. Take care.1 Photo

I get the manual. The link to luna update is just the generic version of VESC. A page down they say don't use it, use the Luna version, but the link is not active. Are you using the generic version? The thing I want the most is tempuratures. I didn't think I would need it the last couple of weeks and guess what? I smoked a motor.
Nice ride zmarkjam. A decent enduro is my go to bike. Add a basket it becomes stealth until you hit 45mph.

Ok, stupid question, but looks to be a lot of smart people on this thread. I have one of the old Version A (Anderson) BBSHD “Hot Rod” programmed regular controllers from Luna w/ a 52v Panasonic GA 14s5P 17.5Ah battery. Would like to upgrade (mostly acceleration/torque, perhaps a bit of top end speed), but seems options may be limited due to compatibility/availability. I think the battery would put out 40 amps continuous but cannot remember if it was limited by Luna with the BMS at 30amps, so am I stuck at 30amps regardless? If not, any way to work a Ludicrous V1 onto an old style Type A to run at 40amps? Other options? Would just go straight for a V2 and Luna Wolf w/ 50amp BMS if that were possible/available. Much appreciated!

I am thinking we need a firmware flash so we can use a generic version of VESC. The M600 has a new version released a year ago which allows this.
This forum has been good to me. I don't understand enough to ask question on endless fear or the VESC forum. Now I wish I had asked questions everyday that Marcos was here.
I have been told that even if I had the apk file, my new phone can only use google play. Here is what I get when I connect with the generic VESC Tool. I can't find RT tools or what Luna calls ride.

Pax, in my case I lost my presets (manageable) and the Luna custom user interface wouldn't take effect (royal pain). I'll admit that I did not give the generic version much of a chance, as I was in a bit of a rush at the time.Last edited by ncmired; 10-06-2023, 08:55 AM.

Recently ran into an issue where the smart watch I bought and was using to view the motor temp real time without pulling out my phone updated, the app I used hasn't been updated to support the new firmware and it seems never will be sadly. I would highly prefer being able to view my temps in real time without pulling my phone out. I know the bafang protocal doesn't support displaying the motor temp (although the eggrider does have a section to display it) but open source firmware for a stock bbshd controller was released and they had the genius idea to have the "range" display the temp, which I would highly desirable as the range has never been accurate or useful anyway in my case. That way the controller could communicate over the bafang protocal and then either the eggriders "range" will actually mean the temps or even get eggrider to update the firmware to correctly swap the range to temp. Would be nice if Marcos still was working on updates so us owners could get these features......

I've been asking and have not received any info/confirmation. I have a V2 from a few years ago running as is out of the box in a EEB BBSHD build 52V. I had bought an eggrider at the time so I could eventually run 72V. I need to update the firmware on my BBSHD V2 ludi controller.
I do not have an android device but I have a Windows PC with VESC tool with bluetooth. I also have the IOS VESC tool for my Ludi X2 purchased earlier this year. Is an ANDROID tablet the only way to upgrade the firmware on my Ludicrous V2 controller for the BBSHD? Can I use the generic version of the VESC tool or do I need the Luna customized one? I downloaded the .apk posted since it had been MIA when I was trying to get this working awhile back. There was some documentation from before, but it seems to be outdated or no longer applicable but it's hard to say.
