How to determine controller version on BBS02

There is a version A and version B which have slightly different shapes..are there any other ways to be sure which version you have?

There is one quick way of knowing the version of your BBS02 without opening the drive. The version B looks something like this, notice the B on the BBS02

The pinion gear, bearing, controller, nylon gear and the circular plate are different from the old BBS02.

I'm afraid that there are more differences than those mentioned above. I've learned it the hard way.

The chainring gear is also different: it has to match the pinion gear.

      I have a BBS02B 36V 500W

      Serial number is 1604015447.
Pinion gear model is 3 (a model 2 variation with an o-ring at the 12mm end). -
Nylon gear model is X-2. -
Chainring gear model is LD-2. -
There is also a number engraved on the crank axle shaft: GXY2016-03-28-Z.

Paul sent me a chainring gear model LD and it doesn't fit in.

      More info and photos there:

Thanks for the info. Will now buy all my spare parts from Luna from now on whenever available.

Would purchase: a spare 36V controller, a nylon gear, a chainring gear, a pinion gear, a circular plate, a complete axle bearing set, a paper gasket for the motor side and 2 rubber seals. I already have an account.
