DPC-14 And 860C not plugged in correctly is causing Drive to seem DEAD

The new color display has a separate control that plugs in with the same type of plug as the one that goes to the harness.

If they are plugged in backwards the Bafang Drive wont turn on.

Make sure these 2 connectors are connected properly in the right color.

I read all the info on the LUNA site but have a couple questions about the new 860C meter
I would like to upgrade the meter on my X1 to the 860C

The stock meter on the X1 is a PITA to reset the trip mileage
You have to tunnel down into the setup menu to reset it

My BBSHD 750C meter is way easier by just pressing two buttons at the same time.
How do you reset the trip mileage on the new 860C meter?

    Question 2:
It says this on the Luna site
This model is compatible with the m600 drive only. This will NOT WORK with BBSHD or BBS02 products.

This YouTube video says it works with BBSHD, BBS02 and BBS01 also

Is that the same meter in the video?

it's the same except that the M600 version only works on M600 motors and the BBSxx model only works on BBSxx motors!

As for the trip reset, I do not know as I dont own one I (and don't use the trip meter) but I'm sure someone can comment on this. Maybe paxtana knows?

Select trip on the display. Then hold + and - at same time.

Excellent, that's what I was hoping it would be
I just placed my order for one

My old eyes hated that stock X1 meter

Would the meter be set for 48 volts on the X1?

I can't change the wheel diameter on the 860C meter.
27.5 inch is not close enough for the big tires I use.
The mileage was always off because of not being able to set the wheel diameter.

On my 750C meter, I set the wheel size so that the distance matched closer to the real mileage traveled

          Yes x1 uses 48

Can't help on the diameter unfortunately. You could use a separate cycle meter for calculating trip if you were so inclined. Bunch of places sell them for under 20 bucks

Hmm, I just paid $107 for a meter than can do what I am asking, but it is locked out in the menu?
Also, the meter is set at 52 volts, not 48 volts and that cannot be changed either?

At 4:14 in this youtube video, he shows being able to change the wheel diameter on the BBSHD version of the 860C meter.
Not sure why the X1 version would be locked?

This makes no sense to me

          That is a different version

Yes I know, but it's probably just firmware that makes it different.

Probably. That is not something we have access to though, at least as far as I am aware.

I just received an 860c display. I had to purchase elsewhere as Luna was out of stock. I am trying to connect it however the connectors are not matching up as per the pic. Looking for tips on how to get this connected please? Thanks!

You have to buy the 860C from luna because it is only for the M600- X1
There is another version for the other Bafang motors

            Hi folks,

I promptly ordered the Luna X1 860c display last week when it came in stock. It has arrived, however the connector is the same as the other one I received - i.e. it is round, but the connector out of my 1 frame is not - see the connector on the left of the pic I posted. What am I missing here?! :)

It sounds like you either ordered the wrong one or the shop sent you the wrong one. In either case it won't work with your bike and needs to go back

          Yes I am sure.
I have a X1 and I have the correct 860C meter that I got from Luna

              Leave it at 52
              4.2 x 13 = 54.6 volts

Hi folks, so I received the correct M600 860c display for my X1, however I have an issue with this and wondering if anyone has noticed the same thing. On the original controller (set to default PAS1-5 options), PAS1 it effectively useless, so I typically ride on PAS2 and sometimes PAS3. Overall this works great - the torque setting is just right IMHO. However with the M600 860c installed, I am finding PAS2 to be more like PAS1, so I have to ride on PAS3 to get any real torque (which is too much power and drains the battery too quickly). Changing various settings (such PAS range 1-9) does not seem to help. Has anyone experienced the same issue? Thanks

                  No issues here
I ride on 1/9 most of the time
On steep stuff I go up to 2/9 and then 3/9

                  I have a non Ludi X1

Thanks for the reply, I have the Ludi X1 version and unfortunately the new display is not usable for me (compared to the original one) - unfortunately I am going to have to send the new one back...

Is this the 860C from Luna or one available else where on the web?
