I run the 05/2022 firmware on my X2 Ludicrous. Where can I get the newer Firmware. Last firmware I tried corrupted the VESC display. Curious if that has been fixed. Also MY battery is only getting 18-20miles on full charge. I used to get 30-34miles. MY brother road my bike and like an ass overheated it to the point it shut off and through up ERROR CODE 25 and 30. Luckily error code flashes and clears. But there is some CA clunk sound when I begin to peddle sometimes. Never did it before my brother overheated it. Dumb ass brother asked to borrow it I told him to watch the temp, and he didn't. Got Drunk and road my $8K Bike home so hard it hit 120degrees and engine shutoff. Luckily I road today and it seems to still work well but something is wrong somethings jumping. I may have to take my engine apart check nylon peak and if it is messed up by the carbon and fix it. I was on smallest cog seated perfectly, and it felt like it jumped at the crank like crank slipped I worry my Nylon Peak Gear may of went, & Torque Sensor may be damaged. Due to him overheating it. Then rather then let it cool off his drunk alcoholic ass road it home with power on the whole time but using the 12speed Cassette to get home. I think I need to make him buy me a new battery, and peak gear. Any Advice on all this? I'm not sure what to do. OR where to get the newest X2 Ludicrous firmware.

I recently acquired an X2 with the Ludi Controller. I am trying to connect the VESC Tool on my Android phone via Bluetooth. Mostly it just doesn't see another device and it times out. I tried it a few more times just now to refresh my memory regarding behavior and it did see a device for a very brief moment but it disconnected.
My understanding from videos and documentation is that the procedure is to open the app, turn on the bike, and press connect. Is there a troubleshooting strategy I can use? Thanks!
Update: I got the following error: "Unable to deserialize motor configuration ..." I think that is accurate. It sounds to me like a programming error, like Java Serialize/Deserialize objects.Last edited by Tom W; 09-19-2024, 02:41 PM.Comment

I powered on the bike first and then opened the app as you recommended. I was able to connect. I also kept my Pixel 8 pro close to the motor. Doing it this way, I can get the "Unable to deserialize motor configuration" error most of the time, which is progress, so thanks! It appears that perhaps my app version isn't correct. I say that because of an error I saw saying either the firmware of the VESC app is incorrect. I thought about a firmware upgrade, but at this point my priority is to keep the bike running.
Any other thoughts or input is appreciated.

Does anybody know if there's a newer/improved firmware for the X2.5 since September 2024? Overall I'm happy but I was hoping that they fixed the trip meter issue (it's always lower than actual mileage). Also, all my friends have Levos (3 different models from base level to Pro) and it seems like I always use more battery than they do. For example, yesterday 22 miles of aggressive trail riding. I ended up at 10% and they ended up around 25 to 30%. I do try to stay off the throttle as much as possible although I can't resist the occasional thumb push.Comment

Hello marcos, I am a Luna customer and I have a Luna Ludicrous V2 M600 controller. Can you please post instructions how to connect VESC Express dongle to the controller? That will allow us to use external USB connection and more reliable wireless connections.
It looks like the controller Can Transceiver pins CANH and CANL have outputs on the external connectors of the Bafang M600 motor. And the plugs also have +5V pin and GND pin. I made a cable for the middle plug (which is used for brakes and I do not use it) to connect CANH, CANL, +5V and GND pins to my VESC Express dongle. When I power the motor and connect it to VESC Tool on my computer the VESC Tool can see the VESC Express dongle, but it can not connect the controller through it. How can I make VESC Express works with it?
