    Connectors XT-60

Product Link: XT-60 Connectors at Lunacycle.com

The XT-60 connector is a 2 conductor keyed connector, meaning it can only be assembled one way preventing reverse polarity connections. It is rated for 60 amp duty ,designed to handle 60 Amps continuously without exceeding 80°C. XT-60 connectors consist of a male and female pair, the protruding connectors are on the male half and the recessed connectors are on the female half. The outer plastic shield does not affect the gender assignment of connectors.

Luna products use this connector for the charging input to their batteries, with the male connector being attached to the battery and the female connector attached to the charging source. Luna sells only brand name XT series connectors, there are a lot inferior products in the marketplace so always buy from a trusted source to insure the performance is as designed.

XT-60 connectors do not have the spark suppression of the larger XT-90S connector. XT-60 connectors are available with or without pre-tinned pigtails, in packages ranging from 1 each to 20 packs. They are also available as part of various adapter cables (i.e. XT-60 to 4.5mm Barrel plug)

XT-60 solder lugs are ideally sized to accept 12-14 AWG wire , with silicone jacketed high strand count wire being the preferred type for this application.

XT-60 connectors are widely use outside the eBike world most notably in R/C Aviation applications, as such there are a lot of "homebrewed" accessories for these such as 3D printed panel mounts and retainer clips.
