This procedure is for hall sensor related issues were the wheel would jerk and quit or simply run in reverse AND that were the hall sensor were tested OK.
Explanation of the issue; The controller needs to know were the rotor is to apply the right phase angle and current to the motor. The way it works is that there is a circuit board with 3 different "hall effect" sensors on it for the 3 different motor phase and that board is static. Fixed on the rotor there is a magnetic disk that rotates with the motor. If the disk moves on the rotor shaft the controller will be sending the current at the wrong angle and the motor will act up. So the fix is to "try to put back the disk were is was tuned at the factory.
For this procedure you will have to either remove the motor from the bike or drop the motor a bit so you can reach all 3 motor cover screws and put the bike on the left side... Your pick (I choose to remove the motor).
If you just want to know if the magnet disk is aligned you only need to take the cover and inspect, no need to move the hall sensor board (green disk), you can remove the 3rd screw with a mini low profile ratchet ( they are available anywhere starting at 8$ or more)
So remove all 3 motor cover screws

It's possible that your cover is stuck.. newer model have some silicone in them so pry it off like this

once the cover is off, remove the silicone off the motor (if you have any)... You will have to add some before closing the case.

Next step is important. MARK the position of the sensor with a sharpie, just put a line on the green disk somewhere so when you put back the disk it will be in the same position.

Now, look at the hole in the middle, you will see the magnet disk and the rotor shaft. On the rotor you will either have a notch or a line and on the magnet you will have a notch. These 2 should be lined up, if they are not then it means the magnet has slipped. If they are lined up then that is not it, in this case please contact Luna.

Now remove the 3 screws and lift the hall sensor board and try to move (OR remove) the magnet ring and glue back into place. Use some red loctite or glue so it wont move again.
If you can't lift the board high enough you will have to loose the metal grommet on the case so you can pull on the sensor board (gently).

Install the hall sensor board and make sure the sharpie line do line up. All silicone around the edge (were you removed it).. seems like the little Oring is not sufficient. Tighten the grommet to avoid water getting in. You could also remove all 4 grommet top and add dielectric grease all around to make it waterproof!
You're done.
