Adding a voltage meter to your Sur-Ron

Hi Cristian we have them if you want to special order please email support@lunacycle.com

paxtana hey bud I have 2 Surron's from Luna (#80174 is the one I bought first and the battery indicator is completely gone - water/dirt did it).
I could really use one of your voltage meters to mount it to the Surron so I know the battery level while riding.
Thank you in advance!

Haven't tried lexel - seems similar to RTV but definitely different stuff
I've only found very limited uses for sugru (whether the store-bought or homemade version) - one thing it's pretty good for making strain reliefs on cables. The homemade version is simply mixing RTV with cornstarch and I can't really tell much difference between the homemade and store-bought - YMMV
JB Weld is always a goto when we're looking for something permanent, hard and solid although I've got some fancy structural epoxies that are every bit as good if not better

For securing anything plastic to anything else plastic, I have been using Lexal for a few years now. Ace Hardware has it, crystal clear or white. It's in the caulking department, but it's use by me for last few years has been as glue. Just about anything to anything, it and my old standby, JB Weld are my go to adhesives. I have some Sugra, have yet to use it, interesting.

I contacted Luna support, and was told the BMS "will eventually re-learn the battery's voltage and then will start showing the correct percentages but it might take a few cycles. Just charge the battery till the charger stops charging and then ride it till the battery is dead. Do this a few times and the meter will reset."
The weather's not so good for riding now so I have the bikes sitting in the garage with their lights on. It may take 1 week plus to run down the batteries out this way.
Interestingly, both batteries are running down well past the 43% where it cut out earlier (currently at ~8%). Hopefully it doesn't require too many cycles to update.

Probably but please file a support ticket first so there's a record of it

Looks like I need one. I'm getting very delayed measurements from the battery gauge on my 2022 XX. Stopped riding at 62% after 16 miles and after a few hours of sitting it was at 40%.
Charging seems to have the same issue. Charger stops around 75% and doesn't rise at all after sitting idle for hours, still says 75%,
Could you send a voltmeter with that plastic putty stuff?
Thanks,
Jon

No idea if it's an issue, I hope not. If it is just contact support we got meters

I have a (2022) XX on order, is the stock meter still an issue this year?
If so I'd like to buy an appropriate meter before I risk draining the battery (ie before I do any real riding).
Are the voltmeters still available? If not can you link to the appropriate one on Amazon etc?
Thanks!
