    Chinese parts?

I see every one really busting chinese parts hard, and with good reason.(I always try to buy made in America my self. )
But I Noticed Bafang is a chinese motor. Everyone brags about how good they are so maybe not all chinese parts are bad?

If you look closely at your computer, phone, power tools, appliances, and components of your American car,I will bet you have plenty of Chinese products. China has a huge stake in high end goods, especially electronics. Bafang motor may not be as high tech as a Bosch (also made in China with German engineering, but its a solid, powerful and reliable motor. I think Lightning rod kits are made in USA. 3000 watts of divetrain busting power.

LightningRods "borrowed" his design from the Chinese GNG company and then beefed it up a little. The LR motors are still made in China.
I own a LighningRods 3000 and a Bafang BBSHD. The Bafang has been totally reliable, even under abuse. The LighningRods, not so much.

Chinese companies will make whatever you want. They have the reputation of making crap because most importers demand the lowest possible wholesale price, and openly tell their suppliers that most of their customers don't care about the parts on the inside. We have many products that are so inexpensive, that they are fairly disposable.

If they work for a year or two, customers complain, and yet when presented with options, they still consistently buy the cheapest model. In this way, they are voting with their dollars.

Bafang drives are not as good as Bosch, but...they are very good, and certainly better than some other drive systems.

The same price, the best quality; the same quality, lowest price; quality prices are the same, the largest. This is the initial stage of manufacturing in China. Bafang is only a microcosm, after all, or niche products, as unmanned aerial vehicles. The Chinese people to sacrifice the environment, resources, labor and the world gambling days, hoping never to come back, even if the primitive accumulation of capital are bloody, and gradually from low to high, from imitation to original. With the development of market niche product refinement, China is starting the second round of flame. At that time, that is, consumers and producers of the common spring.

One thing I think most people can agree on is that Chinese manufacturing has come a long way in the last 2 decades. I think that they now have at least the capability to produce goods of quality that is competitive with that of goods produced in the West in many industries.
