I had no idea when I got my system that putting it in the front of a mountain bike with a suspension fork was unsafe. I previously had a front system with no issues, but it was only 350 watt. Is there any way this can be made safe? I've ordered a couple torque bars, but still wondering.

Some pogo suspension forks are steel and much safer to mount a motor than alloy sus forks. Are yours alloy or steel?
Personally, I wouldn't use an alloy sus fork with anything except low power motor (under 500W) and double up on TA's (torque arms). And then, you MUST make sure the axle mounting is perfectly aligned so that the nuts don't crack the alloy as they're cinched down? Easy for some folks, tricky for other folks.
And even with a perfect installation you're still screwing up any real suspension fork operation. Kinda like putting an elevator in an outhouse - it just don't fit.
Sometimes it's better to find a better donor bike and move on....

Nashbar has a chromo steel fork that has a similar fork crown race height to most suspension forks, except maybe some of the really long travel versions. I'm currently using them on 2 different bikes built up with MTB frames. It comes with both reinforced disc mount tabs and removable V/Canti bosses, and it's only about $50-$60.
