    Min' required Shark battery

Has anyone installed a shark 52v into a step thru (womens) Trek Pure? My batteries and charger are 52v wrap style and I'm unfamiliar with the shark. Luna has the 48v shark with side mounting but I prefer to stay with 52v which doesn't have that feature available. The narrowest width between the tubes is 4 3/8" and the shark is 3 1/2". Is an inch enough room to account for the mounting plate and still enable attachment and removal of the battery? I also don't want to install the shark on top as most step thru batteries are done. There are no connection points (bottle cage mounts between) and I do not like the looks of that set up.

My shark takes approx 7/8" to slide however my pack is closer to 4 1/2" high.

That would mean that with the base & rise of the mounts it would be a really tight fit if it fit at all. When you say 7/8" to slide, is that horizontally or vertically. Hard for me to imagine it needing nearly an inch to lift off but can easily see that horizontally "slide" to detach. Not sure where (think on Luna's purchase pg) they show how to drill the base then use flush mounting bolts/screws to the bottle mounts to reduce the height a smidgen

That's sliding it 'up'. It needs a bit of area to get a reliable hold.
Bear in mind also that after the slide it has to be lifted off.

Hmm. Can the shark be used without the base? By putting it into a bag or other containment. Base looks like it has electric contact points but I see no reason for that but then I'm electrically ignorant. Wish Luna still sold some of the old wrapped cubes that would fit that space.

You can either try to stick male contacts into the female contacts and glue/tape them securely to test the idea? Or, just leave the cradle on the pack, it really doesn't add much girth/weight to the shark package. Or, open the case, solder new leads and/or simply make it a DIY wrapped pack?

I've repaired and made DIY packs - using plastic shipping wrap instead of high cost shrink wrap. Sold for shipping product is basically kitchen/Saran wrap but narrower. Works a treat...

Unfortunately while compact the MM's dimensions are too lrg for this space and this is where I want the battery if at all possible
