    48v tire inflator options.

My first ride on my bbs02 was 4 miles of fun and 2 miles of dragging my bike home. Point of failure? Tires duh. And i didnt have tubes patches or pumps with me. Trying to minimize downtime i just came up with a clever solution. I am adding 12v power to my bike to run lights usb and a pump. I figered ide share the idea and see if anyone else was interested or needed a similar solution.

My battery is a sun-ebike 48v 20ah which can do 30 nominal amps and 60 peak. So adding this 12v line is no problem hell i already have a step down chip. But its rated for 36v max.

    Solution,

. Thank you golfcarts lol. I will connect this to an old school dc port and to my wiring harness for my main wires. Then i can use a cheap electric pump that weighs less than a pound to inflate after a flat.

Good idea? (Parts ordered) I think so what do you say community?

I'm a fan of co2 but what about an inflator with its own battery

I have one of the LUNA pumps for my 52 volt batteries, I take it along on my more serious rides, I have the room and the weight is slight. I have yet to need it on the trail but have used it several times in my shop when I just needed a little air and I didn't want to fire up my big shop compressor. I can just grab a battery and the pump and I have a portable air system, pretty handy.

        Hello,
When adding a connector to the Luna ePump does the polarity of the connector matter? It doesn't have the wires labelled.

Bult a 12v power line on the bike for multiple accessories with a small electric tire pump works great.
