Quick question about battery capacity matched to controller and motor

    Quick questions to the gurus,
system: 48v 1800w brushless motor and controller, 35amp. what happens if you feed the above with a 48v 24ah battery being that you have a 35amp controller, options:

    a) system runs but for a very short period and have to be re-charged often
    b) system runs but underpowered
    c) motor overheats because is getting 60% of power requirements
    d) all of the above
    e) it's ok it runs fine

1800 watts at 48v would be 37.5 amps. If the controller is rated 35A continous you should be in pretty good shape. If the controller is rated 35A peak then you won't see full motor output as the controller will limit things. You also need to know the battery specs and BMS ratings. If it can deliver 35A continous you should be ok.
I don't see how you came to option C.....
