Parts and bike availability winter 22/23 ?

I keep seeing stories online how there is a huge surplus of parts and bikes on the market. Between work and the weather I have not had time to ride or tinker so I haven't even been to any of the local shops in a while to see first hand but walking by and looking through the windows looks like they have plenty of bikes in stock. Over the summer I wasn't having issues with things I really needed, if it wasn't in stock at my local store they were able to get it within a day or two.

I have had a wish list of parts for almost a year now that I'm either waiting for them to be available or be on sale and so far no sales or stock. I'm not checking every minute of every day so its possible stock has come in and I have missed it or sales have come and gone but over a year I would think I would have caught something with more than a dozen items and about a dozen online places I have kept an eye on. I also can't stop looking at used bikes and the market there still seems decent with fairly high prices. Back in 19 you could get a decent used bike for $100-200, now if those come up they are gone quick and I would say $400 is kinda the bottom that you have a good chance of finding something. Parts are similar, the good / fair deals go quick.

    What's everyone else seeing?

Used bikes are funny. You can buy a bike that sold for a thousand bucks twenty years ago, rode for less than a couple thousand miles, and you buy it for under fifty bucks.
And then you fix-it, some bucks in parts, and a fair bit of bicycle mechanic labor -- and then sell it for what?
All those pedal bikes, for the general consumer, are now junk! Sad state of civilization to waste all those resources, but I'm going to buy some used bikes. And some Chinese motors. I hope that war doesn't come, but I'm going to stock up on bike parts.

Since these forums are funded by Luna, I decided to post links to some recent, relatively low subscribership and viewed YouTube two-part interview videos with Eric Hicks, that are not on Luna's YouTube channel. As an outsider & Luna customer, peering in and trying to discern what/where Luna is in the e-bike business & innovation scheme these days, here's Eric speaking for himself/Luna:
Of particular note is Eric's Bafang-related opinion: https://youtu.be/F_50y8Ma6Us?t=560. Eric may have been saying these things on Facebook, but as I choose not to be a Facebook member, I haven't read them.

I'm putting my battery in the rear rack inside a metal box. I have no interest in a battery fire between my legs. Hah. Dang. Too many marketers and not enough engineers. That's bad to hear. I was not at all impressed that they switched to spline shafts. Steel on steel spline I can accept. But not Aluminum on steel. As the years go by, Bafang will be selling a lot of replacement cranks for all the motors they are selling now. And with Canbuss, they are setting themselves up to nab the entire bike refit order, if you want the Bafang motor. There is one benefit to canbuss and that is less wiring. Eventually they can put canbuss chips in all the the attachments and just run one cable daisy chained to all the stuff. Simple simon. But it will be Bafang attachment that will not function with other makers attachments. Bafang brake handles and batteries and sensors. Parts that wont work with even their older stuff.

Hah. Cops. They cant do anything to you if you got nothing to take. I understand exactly where he is coming from. On paper i make sure I look like a turnip. especially around here. When I get cash I make sure I spend it quick before somebody finds out. Its really the only way to beat all the crookedness in our government. But it backfires if you rub it in their nose. Then they make the fight a personal thing. Like Jan 6. So many turnups in the crowd but Democraps are hell bent on imprisoning everybody they can find identification on. 3 Marines just got arrested by the Feds because their "comrades" called the Feds and gave them 3 more names. There's still half a million people across the country hiding under rocks and hoping they make it to statute of limitations. Trump is my next vote partly because he's the only one who will pardon all those Patriots. I owe all those people for what they did for my freedom. The exception being the few that were violent in their actions. Violence has to be reserved for self defense matters.
