I'm beginning to think these cheap LiFePO4 batteries are crap, so I'm going to return them? Is there a cheap battery that will work with a 48V system? I've been using the $30 SLA's on Cleveland, Ohio roads since 2020 with no problems, but I only ride maybe 5 times per month. I don't know much about this stuff so any help is appreciated.
A 10-12Ah lawnmover/motorcycle LiFePO4 start battery would provide totally different amount of burst amps, but propably not enough continuous amps either.

I typed & edit`d the above post yesterday, But only as a joke and never hit the post button.
But today I see he`s no longer likes us. The restore button works perfect... Maybe he`s mad at me. I sometimes PM him when he makes comments about Donald *****. I try not to bring Politics into this forum but maybe we both have a political mental-disorder.

Yup, I know what you mean. I am a monster Reaganite and Super-Loyal Trumpster.. They were two of the wisest men that ever walked the planet. And he did so much to make America so great again And we should never forget the things they taught us. Among his greatest lessons, Trust, but Verify. I worship those guys . Pics coming shortly, and he shouldn`t of bragged about committing adultry with Stormy.

Those blue cube batteries are not LiFePO4, are not as safe, and are not what the OP asked about.

Originally posted by sttsOpps, I guess my memory isn't as good as it used to be. My battery is only 18 years old. Oh well, I suspect it's still out of warranty, hah. Yup, and its still got plenty of power to run my winch for the heavy stuff I do at home. This battery has never been removed from my winch lift since I bought it new in 2005. I thought it was 2001, but I guess not that far back. :) They didn't scratch off the label but they melted the date into the side.
I left out lead the OP question cause the bike computer set to run lithuim ion.

Looks like you built a cool bike big hub and rear shock.
Buy one of these blue cube batteries
Read the reviews their not all fake.
I use a cheap blue cube battery from amazon it works well.
I am not sure your batteries BMS the problem but I think so.

Your hub motor draws likely more then the batteries BMS can deliver.
"Lithium batteries have a current (Amp) limit where their BMS board will shut down the battery's output power to protect the battery from overheating when too much current is being demanded from it. For example if a lithium battery has a maximum continuous discharge current of 30 Amps and a speed controller demands 31 Amps from it for more than a few seconds then the lithium battery's BMS board will shut the battery down."
yours is a 10AH couldent find it but the 6ah is only 10 amp BMS (battery management system)
Wiring in series only increases voltage not amps
Its hard to beat the system with cheap batteries !

Maybe SST forgot to add a dot (.) )between the 2`s.
Is that 2.2 years or 22 years. Curious about Aging Compound.??

What is your choice of 12V or 48V LiFePO4's that can withstand the constant bouncing on an Ebike and being stored in a cold and moist garage in spring/fall, with winters getting down to 0F ?
