    Brake sensors

The magnet that came with the brake sensor kit just cracked in half for no reason. Is it still viable? Will any magnet work?

Any magnet will work. You can probably epoxy broken one. You can test it by running motor and moving magnet away from unit to cut power. Stronger magnet lets you have more distance between unit and magnet. Small neodymium magnets work well.

Cable accuated brakes where the brake levers and the housing are non ferris (aluminum) where do you attach the magnets for the brake sensors, The cables are 304 stainless very minimaly magnetic, Solution packet of Neodymium ring Magnets (9.5 mm od x 3.2 mm id x 1.5 mm thk), thread on the cable inside the brake housing, one on the cable inside the brake housing was not enough even though a single magnet would activate the brake sensor (normaly closed) when placed on the senor face. So I put four magnets on the brake cable solved my brake sensor, motor will not run, problem.
