    First ride.

I've just returned from my first BBSHD ride. I'm totally amazed, completely hooked and never looking back! I CAN NOT WAIT for some warmer riding weather. My fingers are still frozen as I type this. I got up to 35mph on more than a few occasions and realize thats plenty fast for my comfort level on a 29er. I've got my motor mounted on a Specialized Rockhopper 29. Power cell is Luna's 52v 17.5ah triangle battery with ziptie bag setup. I've not had time to setup my gearsensor or brake cutoffs (suspense got to me) so I only experienced one "clunk" while shifting. On that note didn't attempt lower gears as they seem most offset with the Luna Eclipse chainring. I intend on taking to my local shop soon and having a tune up done as well as checking the tightness of the main lockring/nut. I've given consideration to purchasing Luna's socket set so I can employ leverage with my breaker bar. Any thoughts or input apprecitated.

Nice looking build! I just built my second e-bike in the past month! The thing I learned is if you don't tighten that ring tight enough cause of the tool of choice, or in my case, I used a spanner, then you won't get the correct torque. Mine had slipped a couple of times due to this and because it's a aluminum frame, it eats up the bottom bracket pretty badly. I bought the tools from Lunacycle on the 2nd e-bike build and it was so much easier and I have high confidence it's not coming loose this time. Used a torque wrench this time around too :)
