Wiring 48 to 12 volt 10 amp converter

My cheapo 10 led lights for the front basket of my schwinn tricycle conversion ebike and the 12 volt converter has just red and black but the light have red black and white and I intend to wire the lights to a motorcycle multi-light switch (hi beam=lights on, and low=lights OFF) and then a horn. Do the lights require the "white" wireto simply switch on or off?

what does the white wire do? Get out your multi-meter to figure it out.
