    72v 3000w controller

    Hi,
Could anyone tell me if they have found a good controller to work with a 72v 3000w hub motor?
I have a risunmotor controller which uses the 750c LCD and works well but is huge and I don't really want more than 50 amps.
Also I have a 18 mosfet controller with a KTlcd 3 which again works well but the power levels aren't far enough apart and the throttle/power delay is a little annoying off-road.
The best set up I have found so far on a 48v 1000w kit I use is the brainpower controller, it's perfect 5 levels of varied power and instant throttle response.
    Thanks for any help.

I use a Lyen Mark 3 controller on all five of my ebikes. 72V system pulling up to 45A.

I have all 24 FET controllers because I am paranoid about heat.

Thanks very much for your help, I will take a look at one of those. I have seen a Bluetooth programmable 60amp controller from Luna cycles that looks good too but unsure if it works with an LCD. I'm keen to get something that I can keep in the frame bag too.

I use a Cycle Analyst V3. The 24 FET Lyen controllers are pretty big. I wouldn't put mine in a frame bag. Mine is in a trunk bag on a passive heat sink.

What motors are you using? I looked at some of your pictures. Is that an MXUS or a QS205? Some Kelly controllers are plug and play for a QS205.

Are you looking for a square wave, sine wave or FOC controller?

Hi, I am using a Greenpedal 3kw brushless hub motor. I am very lucky to be living near lots of woods and forest with great challenging tracks. I'm not too concerned about huge miles as i have another bike which lasts much longer and have spare batteries to carry. I'm a little confused with the different types of controller you mention , you sound much more experienced in that field! I have played around with various ebike parts and love the engineering part of building but wish i had more expertise in the electrical side, i will keep reading! Ideally i would like to try another 50-60 amp controller with an LCD 18-24 FET and at least 3 levels of power assist. There does seem to be a few available and are reasonably priced too. Just got to get it right!
