Hello, I am in need of a Panasonic 26V system battery and charger. The batteries are quite good, most of them have decent capacity/price ratio. However, the problem comes with the charger. The original one from the manufacturer costs 250 EUR. That's almost the cost of the new battery itself. Why are these chargers so much more expensive than the standard switched mode power supply (XLR connector) charger that literally every other manufacturer uses? Does anybody know if the one extra pin on the proprietary charger does anything to block generic chargers or it is used for something else? Thank you.
