Adding an electric motor to a Specialized Expedition Sport women's bike if possible.

I want to make my new bike electric. What is the best motor for this purpose? I will have it professionally installed.

Hi and welcone to the forum. A couple of options a middrive or a rear hub motor. Depending on the frame will determine which battery. If you can post a link to model of bike or better still a photo.
What distance do you plan on riding?
Is it hilly where you ride?
All this will help to determine which kit to recommend.

The big question is, Do you have lots of hills, if yes are they steep and long, or mild and short? (flat commute?)

What distances do you anticipate wanting to ride between charging the battery?

I'm doing a similar frame, the KHS Smoothies Step through. I added a rack and an inexpensive rear pack. $15 and it holds a dolphin frame battery.

I just used my soldering iron to make a nice clean hole for the power leads. If you use a mid drive it will be a little low but as long as you don't go curb jumping it'll be fine. The other choice is the Magic Pie 5 or Smart Pie 5. A nice hub drive.
