    E-motor conversion for tadpole trike

I have just ordered a Bafang BBS02 750 watt mid drive conversation kit for my HP VELOTECKNIK Scorpion FS 26 recumbent folding trike. The trike has a 3 speed internal hub transmission in the 26" rear wheel. I plan to wait until this rear 3 speed hub fails before I replace it. However, I am having problems finding a suitable replacement. The 11 speed NuVinci planetary transmission is attractive but the literature says the 380 model only supports 350 watts.. Shimano also has a rear hub transmission but I am having trouble getting information on there rear hub transmission models.
Can anyone give information on how I might proceed?
    Regards,

The popular Bafang BBS02 and BBSHD mid drives are introducing an entirely new generation to electric bikes. Many of these new ebikers are asking about the option of using an Internally Geared Hub (…

I just built a wheel with a S-A 3 spd that is also a freehub. It is great so far but I will need more time with it before I can give a good evaluation of it.

The N380 is rated low. I , as well as many other forum members have used them behind BBSHD's with no problem. They will handle that BBS02 just fine.

The Nexus 8-speed IGH has a 307% shifting range from its lowest gear to its top gear. the NuVinci 380 has a 380% range, and is quite possibly the best IGH for the BBS02 ever made. It can also be converted over to using a belt instead of a chain, but I don't know what issues have to be ironed out to accomplish that.
