    Hi from Puerto Rico

Just Joined the forum, although I've been reading it for some time, lots of great info to be found. I retired a couple of years ago and eBikes have become my #1 hobby. Hope to share my experiences as well as learn from others.

I don't know about anyone else but I would be curious to hear what things are like in general there. Lots of regular bikes? Lots of E bikes? Lots of good places to ride for both recreation and commuting? Can you buy things from anywhere in the world or are there some places that are easier to buy from? Are there any regulations related to E bikes like power, speed, or any certifications or licencing required? enforced?

I'd say its not too different from the mainland US in term of number of bikes, not that many ebikes. We are an unincorported USA territory so currency, customs, etc. are the same , buying is the same as up north, but shipping is more expensive, being an Island in the Caribbean. We speak Spanish, but almost everyone understands enough English to get by. Plenty of places for biking on and off road, we have strong road and MTB communities. Not many commuters on bikes or ebikes. Plenty of regulations and certifications but nobody enforces them.
