Hello everyone. I just built my first ebike using a Foes Fly full suspension bike that was previously used for downhilling. I decided to go with the BBHDS and I am very happy with the results. It hit 30mph without any modifications with a total bike weight of about 60lbs. I am in the process of getting the new controller from Luna to really give it some boost and better drivability. Does anyone have a source to fabricate custom brackets for the battery? It is pretty secure as is but I would love to clean it up. It's great to join the community, hit me up if you know of any trails in the Boston area.

Nice ride! Looks comfy and fast! What specific battery are you looking at? I've sucessfully used rivnuts on aluminum frames to attach things witout signs of stress or failure. same method Phantom Bikes uses on their frames. Might research em a little. http://www.tannerbolt.com/default.as...FURffgodn6gHzQ AND https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkPhGIaPCVs AND http://phantom-bikes.com/Last edited by Velodrome; 09-17-2016, 08:10 PM.

Here is what I came up with.. Its a knee brace with 4 straps and it fits my 17.5ah 52V Panasonic like a glove - the neoprene is very sturdy with minimal lateral movement once tightened. The bike currently has 200+ worry free miles; there is a learning curve with throttle application/PAS level settings but once I got my gearing choices down I find that I am using power more efficiently. I haven't gotten around to installing the upgraded controller because I feel the performance hasn't needed it. To be safe, I installed a temp sensor from Amazon mounted on top of my rear shock. I also have an IGH Sturney Archer 5speed hub being laced to a 26" rim with Maxxis Hookworm for my street riding - (more updates on the hubs performance later, it should be completed in about a week). The 30 tooth works amazing for off-road applications but I think I need to go to 38-40 tooth via the new 130mm chain-ring adapter Luna put out. I will still use the rear derailleur setup on single-track for the added gearing.
