Batterypack inside front or back wheel

Has anybody tried to build a batterypack inside the front or back wheel?
Would love to know if this could work and what your ideas would be on this subject.
There is a lot more room inside the wheels than inside the frame, only thing is it might be getting way too heavy to be able to drive around with.

If you Google search Tidalforce, Copenhagen wheel, and Zehus...they all have the batteries inside the hubmotor or wheel. I like the idea of the magic pie where everything is inside the wheel except the battery. I prefer the battery to be separate.

Oh cool!! I didn't know anybody had tried it yet. But you got a good point about being able to take the battery out of the system.
I might have to rethink everything. Maybe come up with a wheel that can be pulled apart into to halves...
