    Cyclone 3000w 72v upgrade

I recently upgraded my Luna Cycle Cyclone 3000w mid drive kit from 52v to 72v and when I switch the upgraded battery on nothing happens. The controller doesn't switch on and when I check the voltage at the connector (temporary terminal block) flat/no voltage.

I have swapped back and forth between the two batteries and everything works with 52v.

I also added a 72v to 12v @ 10 amp voltage regulator to run my headlight and the new battery does the same thing when connected to it as well. I switch it on and the LED headlight flashes and then goes off, swap out the 72v battery for a 52v and it works perfectly.

Any input or troubleshooting recommendations would be appreciated.

It certainly sounds like a battery issue. What can you tell us about your battery? What kind of BMS?
What does your charger do when you try to charge it?

      Its a 72v 14ah Shark 3 battery with a built in BMS.
It seems to charge fine up to 83.9-84.1 volts, but I have not been able to drain any voltage off of it.

No ebike guru here whatsoever, but I was just reading about these Cyclone motors. I saw on Luna's site where they stated the Cyclone requires a very powerful battery like in the neighborhood of 20ah. Your shark battery sounds on the light side of that requirement. Now, your description doesn't sound like that's the issue, but is there something in the BMS of the shark battery that would have tripped because of the extreme demand of the Cyclone? Again, just total guessing at a possibility.
